The board of SANYS is looking for a logo for our 2015 Statewide Conference theme!

Transformation is Us: Our Lives, Our Choices, Our Community

Our theme this year is about the changes and the opportunities that we are advocating for as the Office of People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) creates a new plan for the way it funds and develops the supports and services we need.

OPWDD uses the word transformation to describe the process of change that our system is going though right now. SANYS is excited about these changes because we have been advocating for more opportunities for person centered and self-directed services for many years. Transformation is about your life and your choices for:

......Where you live ......What kind of work you want to do ......What interesting things you want to do each day

Each year, our conference draws over 800 self-advocates and supporters from across the state! We come together to inspire each other, learn from each other, and advocate on a statewide level.

We are looking for a logo that represents our conference theme for 2015 and inspires everyone to understand that transformation is about us - all of us!

Self-Advocate Artists can make the logo by creating an original painting or drawing (color submissions only, no digital artwork, or photography please).

Please take a picture of your logo and save it in .jpg format of the highest resolution possible and e-mail it to:

 logo4sa@gmail.com

(If you need help sending your logo in please contact your local SANYS office). Along with your logo artwork, please include the following in your e-mail:

your name

contact information

a few sentences about you and how you created the logo.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING YOUR LOGO ARTWORK: Tuesday, September 8, 2015 No submissions will be accepted after that date!

A prize of $250 will be awarded to the artist whose logo is chosen. Artwork selected will be featured at the SANYS statewide conference

Please note that Board members of SANYS, along with employees of SANYS and their families, are not eligible to participate in the Logo competition.

Thanks and good luck! The Board of Directors of SANYS
